Tony Melton Eatmon, 71, passed away at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Tony was born in Wayne County on January 26, 1953 to the late Jady Eatmon and Ruby Barnes Eatmon.
Tony loved animals, especially horses and his favorite dog, Superman. He worked for 25 years for Hanson Aggregates (rock quarry). He was an avid UNC fan and he loved everything UNC.
Tony is survived by his sisters, Diane Willis (Waylon) of Dunn, and Kathy Young (Terry) of Benson; nephews, Shaun Lee and Tyler Young (Amanda), great nephews, Austin Lee, Avery Lee and Henry Young, great niece, Allie Young.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations, 105 East 1 st Street, Princeton, NC 27569. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton at 3:00 pm with the Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. The burial will follow the service in Princeton Cemetery.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggest contributions be made to the Princeton Cemetery, c/o Princeton Town Hall, 503 Dr. Donnie H. Jones, Jr. Blvd., Princeton, NC 27569.
