Twilia Davis Putnam made her final transition on June 29, 2024, succumbing to cancer. She fought a brave fight and her tenacity and strength of will, will always be remembered.
Twilia spent the majority of her life in North Carolina, outside of a brief stay in New York. She made great friends and made her presence known wherever she went, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Twilia is survived by her sister (Stormy Biggio-Barnes), half sister (Miranda Stewart) aunts (Theresa Hedgepeth, Anita Long and Renata Eldridge), niece (Tabor Sims), nephew (Trey Stewart), cousins (Trey Hinton, and Forrest Nidiffer), along with other distant cousins and a great niece.
She was preceded in death by her father Grady Cole Davis, and mother, Tazzie Braswell Davis, and daughter Megan Alexandra Putnam and nephew Cole Biggio.
Twilia was an avid dog lover, enjoyed gardening and growing plants, took pride in making her home beautiful through creative art projects or making seasonal potpourri, and loved fiercely. She lived her life the best she knew and left this earth longing to reunite with her beloved Megan.
While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering, and God willing, she is with her beautiful daughter Megan and beloved nephew Cole.
Twilia’s family offers sincere thanks for prayers and well wishes. In honor of Twilia’s modest nature, there will not be a public ceremony; however, the family will celebrate with a few invited friends, the extraordinary life of Twilia Davis Putnam, in a private gathering at an undisclosed location.
