Selma – W.L. Brewer, age 88, passed away Monday November 14, 2022 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. He was born in Johnston County on January 4, 1934 to the late Wesley Conway Brewer and Lula Ann Carrol Brewer. In addition to his mother and father, he is also preceded in death by 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
A graveside service will be held in New Jerusalem Church Cemetery in Kenly on Friday November 18, 2022 at 2 PM. Mr. Brewer will be available to the public to pay their respects from Wednesday November 16, 2022 and Thursday November 17, 2022.
Mr. Brewer is survived by wife of 64 years, Vernell Grice Brewer of Selma; son, William C. Brewer and wife Tracie of Selma; daughter, Joyce Sullivan and husband Danny of Selma; grandchildren, Chris Brewer and wife Dianna, Cameron Brewer and wife Alexis Chambers, Steven Wheeler and fiancé Leigh Ann, Logan Sullivan; great grandchildren, Hunter Brewer, Casey Brewer, Rowan Brewer, Penelope Brewer, Naomi Brewer, Summer Jo Wheeler, Kyla Winborne.
