Benson: Mr. William Ledford Stanley, age 81, of Aquilla Road died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church in Benson. Officiating will be the Revs. Chris Beasley and Mark Fields. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens, Dunn.

Mr. Stanley was born May 7, 1942 in Johnston County to the late Aden and Esther May Williams Stanley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Puckett Stanley; son-in-law, Ricky Register; and brothers, Nathan Stanley, Elbert Stanley, Thomas Stanley, Buster Stanley, and Johnny Stanley.

Mr. Stanley was a retired lineman from Mastec and he loved riding horses especially his horse, Campeon. Mr. Stanley was a member of Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church, who loved God and his church family. He loved reading his Bible on a daily basis.

Surviving is his daughters & sons-in-law, Brenda Jernigan and husband, Charles of Benson, Norma Jean Register of Benson, Lynn Blalock and husband, Lee of Dunn, and Judy Dillon and husband, Bill of Highland, Maryland; six grandchildren, Ashley Blake and husband, Daniel, Heather Gregory, David Blalock and wife, Kendra, Anna Nathaniel and husband George Allen, Haleigh Maness and husband, David; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Dennis Stanley and wife, Kay of Princeton, Donald Stanley and wife, Bobby Joe of Four Oaks, and Danny Stanley and wife, Gloria of Four Oaks; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church from 1:00PM to 1:45PM Friday, March 8, 2024 prior to the service and other times at the home of Lynn and Lee Blalock, 1501 Currituck Ave., Dunn, NC 28334.
