Willie Earl Arthur

Willie Earl Arthur, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born September 21, 1936, in Lynchburg, Virginia, he was the son of the late Royal and Mabel Arthur. In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.

Willie had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the joys of an active life. He could often be found on the golf course, in his garden nurturing plants, or enjoying the freedom of the open road on his motorcycle. Brotherhood and service were important to him; he began his journey as a Freemason and faithfully continued as a Shriner for 50 years, valuing the friendships and charitable work that came with both. His faith guided him throughout his life, and he was a devoted member of Edgerton United Methodist Church, where he found comfort, community, and strength.

Willie is survived by his loving wife, Mickey Arthur; daughters, Frances Noberto (Anthony) and Rose Rout; stepdaughters, Selena Beaman (Greg) and Amanda Nathan (Robert); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
