Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to develop a small holistic retreat, and she thrived as a real estate agent. She also ran her own talk show and newspaper, always eager to share stories and connect with others. A true adventurer at heart, Zaporah loved to travel and explore the world.

She was a dedicated activist for equal rights, advocating for justice with both charm and wit. Zaporah’s adventurous spirit, warm heart, and quick humor left a lasting impact on those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Shumway, her mother, Wanda Bryant, and her three sisters, Donna, Charma, and Juanita. Zaporah leaves behind 4 children—Ariel, Vanessa, Adrienne, and Adam—as well as six cherished grandchildren: Aleera, Amya, Maurice, Mia, Teryn, and David.
Zaporah’s life will be celebrated at Parrish Funeral Home on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Her family invites all who knew her to attend and honor her remarkable life.
