Mrs. Zolene Adams Johnson, age 89, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM, Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Glenn McCullen will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.
Mrs. Johnson was born on November 2, 1932 in Johnston County, NC to the late Delma and Vira McLamb Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Mack “Tom” Johnson and brothers, Dayton Adams, Wallace Adams, Caris Adams, Donnie Adams, and Jimmy “D.D.” Adams. Alongside her husband and family, she was the Bookkeeper for Tom Johnson Oil Company. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Benson Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Benson, NC.
Surviving include her children, Joyce Blackmon and husband, Ricky, Hubert Johnson and wife, Charmaine, Jenny Johnson and husband, Ricky, and Janet Glover and husband, Lischer; grandchildren, Beth Wilson and husband, Lee, Russell Reeves and wife, Susie, Matthew Johnson and wife, Cristi, and Joseph Glover and fiancée, Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Ethan Holland, Will Reeves, Logan Wilson, Lacey Wilson, Sam Johnson, Stella Stroud, and Noah Stroud; brother, Gale Adams and wife, Diane; sister, Emma Jean Coe and husband, Norman; many nieces and nephews.
There will be an open door visitation from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Monday, February 7, 2022 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.
