    Coats, NC: Mrs. Addie Mae “Belle” Williams, age 89, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation in Dunn surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11:00AM at Coats Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Neal Thornton. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery, Coats.
    Mrs. Williams was born on May 9, 1930 in Onslow County to the late Julius Elmond and Addie Lee Parrish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Williams; and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Williams was a member of the American Legion Banner Post 109 Ladies Auxiliary, Coats Senior Center, and leader of the Swinging Elders. She was famously known for her “Notes from Coats” article in the Dunn Daily Record. Mrs. Williams was a member of Coats Baptist Church for many years.
    Surviving include her children, Garry Williams and wife, Sandra of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, LaRue W. Tart of Coats, Jenny W. Pollard and husband, Danny of Coats; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister, Wilma Johnson of Coats; many loving nieces and nephews.
    The family will receive friends from 9:30AM to 10:30AM in the Coats Baptist Church Fellowship hall and other times at the home of Jenny and Danny Pollard 6187 NC Hwy 27 East Coats, NC 27521.
    Flowers are welcomed; however, the family suggest memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Association 5171 Glenwood Avenue Suite 101 Raleigh, NC 27612.
