Mrs. Alice Josephine McLamb Beasley, age 78, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held 1:00PM-Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Revs. Ron Godwin and Randy Beasley will officiate. Burial will follow in Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Angier, NC.
Mrs. Beasley was born in Johnston County on April 11, 1943 to the late Milburn “Bill” and Lena Hudson McLamb. She was preceded in death by her son, Dale Beasley and sisters, Gennette Marler and Ila Cret Turnage. Mrs. Beasley worked for 25 years with the Jerold Plant in Smithfield and went on to work for the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles where she retired after 15 years. Mrs. Beasley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Surviving include her husband of 60 years, Billy Beasley; daughter Tammy McLamb and husband Buck; grandchildren, Ronnie Young, Lareesa Roman, Ashley McLamb, Morgan Haynes, and Hayley Howell; great grandchildren, Caden Pittman, Caleb Young, Spencer Howell, Hannah Young, Payton Howell, Jaime Roman, Andrew McLamb, Lucas Roman, and Lanie McLamb; sisters, Frances Dunn and Cavelle Anderson; daughter-in-law Cheryl Adams; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the service on Wednesday at Rose and Graham Funeral Home.
Flowers are welcome, however memorials may be made to the Eastern North Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at 5171 Glenwood Ave #101, Raleigh, NC 27612.
