Kenly – Alice Stancil Price, age 97, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. She was born on January 12, 1923, a daughter of the late Stephen, and Ronie Stancil in Johnston County. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Price, son, Douglas Price, sisters, Mozelle Narron, Ora Price, Eula Stancil, Shirley Cockrell, brothers, Bill and C.D. Stancil.
Alice loved working in her yard and making sure her family was well cared for, and they cared for her. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Kenly, which she loved greatly. She also loved the Bizzell Grove Church family that came to visit Smithfield Manor on Sunday Morning.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in the Bethany Missionary Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
She is survived by her son, Sammy Price (wife Winnie) of Kenly, grandchildren, Amy Beasley (husband Stacy), Brent Price (wife Elizabeth), great-grandchildren, Savannah Beasley, Emily Beasley, Peyton Price, Luke Price, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the clinical staff at Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehab and UNC Johnston Health of Smithfield for all their help and care.
