Allen Lee Sellers, age 63, of Selma passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019. Born in Johnston County on September 12, 1955, he was the son of the late Joseph Turner Sellers and Shirley Stilley Sellers. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Blake Sellers and brother-in-law, Mike Pennington. Allen owned and operated Sellers Auto Parts in Selma for 34 years before his retirement and was a retired member of the Selma Fire Department. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast who loved deer hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Loosing Swamp Trophy Club in Bertie County and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Selma.
The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma on Tuesday, July 2 from 5 to 7 PM followed by a service at 7 pm. Burial will be in Selma Memorial Gardens on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.
Surviving are his wife, Pam Pennington Sellers; sister, Shirley Jo Peedin and husband Duck of Selma; mother-in-law Carolyn Pennington of Mount Olive; special nephews Jarred Pennington and Stacy Peedin; brothers-in-law David Pennington and wife Connie of Mount Olive, Gerald Pennington of Mount Olive; and many other nieces and nephews.
Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to any SPCA, Faith Baptist Church in Selma or Smithfield First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
