Dunn – Annie Laura Peterson Ferrell, age 78, died Monday, January 16, 2017 in SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born September 8, 1938 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Thurman C. and Margaret Jones Peterson. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Clifton Peterson, Bobby Ray Peterson, Kenneth Ray Peterson, and Glenwood Peterson; and a nephew, David Wayne Peterson. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Dunn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Mt. Carmel PFWB Church with Rev. Johnny Peterson and Rev. Kevin Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends from following the service. A private burial will be held in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna Anne Ferrell Ruiz of Princeton; sisters, Margie Jones and husband Bobby, Frances Averette, and Pauline Peterson, all of Newport; and grandsons, Jalen Kendall Lynn and Anthony Kyle Lynn.
