Annie Mae Wells Guin, 72, of Smithfield passed away at UNC Johnston Health Care on Thursday, January 21, 2021. She was born on June 16, 1948 in Johnston County to the late William Henry Wells, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Hood Wells. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Earl Guin; and daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Barnes.
The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 3:00 pm with the Bishop Eric Davis officiating. The committal will be on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Dicey Dunn Cemetery on Hwy 96 in Four Oaks.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations on Sunday, January 24, 2021.
She is survived by son, David Ted Barnes, Jr. (Greta); brother, William “Bill” Henry Wells, Jr. (Betty); sisters, Doris Horne and Pat Wentz (Jack); grandchildren, Christopher William Barnes, Zachary Shane Barnes and Ashley Elizabeth Monroy; and great grandchildren, Raven Christopher Barnes, Abby Nicole Barnes, Kaylyn Pineda, Kaylee Pineda, Bryan Pineda and Julian Monroy.
