Mrs. Annie Mae Evans-Walker was born on October 5, 1926 and at the age of 94 passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 4, 2021.
Annie Mae is preceded in death by her Husband Willie L. Walker (Bill) and son RonDarrell Evans-Walker. Annie is survived by her brother Leeland Bell (Janice) of Selma and a proud grandmother of two: DrewAnn and Atticus, a nephew Shon Leviticus Bell of Dunn, as well as a host of family and friends.
Annie Mae graduated from Beauty Cultural School and became a beautician and operated Walker’s Beauty Rama in Newark, New Jersey for many years. She then returned home to Four Oaks which she continued to operate a beauty shop for several years.
Annie Mae was an active member of Juniper Grove Disciple Church as well as an invaluable volunteer in her Community. Annie Mae was a proud Board Member of the Head Start program in Smithfield, NC.
