CLAYTON, NC – Anthony George “Tony” Baker, age 86, died Friday evening, February 22, 2019 at UNC Johnston Health. Born June 23, 1932 in Berrien County, MI to the late George Harold and Helen Marie Corella Baker, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Karen Baker in 1956.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 in the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Smithfield, NC.
Surviving are his wife, Harriet D. Baker; daughter, Katherine Anne Baker of Henderson, NC and his beloved dog, O.Henry and cat, Thorne.
