Barbara Tucker “Bobbie” Bedford, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Bobbie was born in Wayne County on April 19, 1938 to the late William Isaac Tucker and Hazelene Rouse Tucker. She was married to the late J.T. Bedford who preceded her in death on August 13, 2016. Bobbie enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends, however one of her greatest joys was when she was able to mow the grass or drink a Diet Coke.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Kenly Funeral Service followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in White Oak Church Cemetery. At other times the family will be at her home.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Pam Bedford of Pikeville and friend, Ann Jones; sons, Henry Bedford and wife Elaine of Kenly and Kenneth Bedford and wife Lisa of Pikeville; sister, Nancy Louise Tucker of Selma; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friend, Mary Lee Fulghum.
