Selma – Betty Ann Sellers Benson, age 76, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 in UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield following a long illness. Born September 15, 1944 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Oscar Braxton and Alma Irene Eason Sellers.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 30, 2021 in the Price Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Banks officiating.
Surviving are her husband, Rufus E. Benson; a son, Jay Lancaster of Selma; sisters, Kathy Lancaster and Colleen Collier both of Selma, Ruby Hayes of Sneads Ferry, Linda Coley of Wilmington and Josephine Narron of Pine Level; brothers, Arthur Sellers, James Sellers and Robert Sellers all of Selma and Kenneth Sellers of Smithfield; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Bonk, Tyler Gore and Ashley Gore and several nieces and nephews.
