Princeton – Betty Lucille Hamilton, age 86, passed away Tuesday August 31, 2021. She was born in Wayne County on October 23, 1934 to the late Genes and Eliza Overman Jones. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husband, James Hamilton.
A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Monday September 6, 2021 at 1 PM. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Monday one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Hamilton is survived by sons, Randy Hamilton and wife Liz of Oceanside, CA, Darrell Hamilton and wife Brenda of Princeton; daughters, Peggy Ellis and husband Arthur of Princeton, Tammy Smith and husband Tommy of Princeton; brothers, Buck Jones and wife Vicki of Princeton, Earl Jones of Princeton and Roy Jones of Goldsboro; sisters, Geral Jones of Jacksonville, FL, Nellie Ray of Princeton; grandchildren, Jimmy Hamilton, Joey Hamilton, Billy Hamilton, Danny Landis, Trina Forbes, Crystal Ballance, JC Ballance, Jessica Ellis, Reandy Hearn, Lauren Hearn, Darrell Smith; 21 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hamilton attended Princeton Church of God and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
