Benson, NC: Mrs. Betty Haselden McAlister, age 78, of 96 Highland Trace Lane died Thursday at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Saturday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Fields. Private Burial will be in Lake City Memorial Park, Lake City, SC.
Mrs. McAlister was born on September 17, 1938 in Richland County to the late Mary A. Haselden. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold McAlister. She was a retired self-employed bookkeeper and member of Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Donnie Jernigan of Benson, Susan and Dewey Westbrook of Coats and Harolyn Lee of Benson; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Jane Raven of Greenville, SC; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 10:00AM -10:45AM Saturday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Debbie and Donnie Jernigan, 4351 Meadowbrook Road, Benson, NC 27504.
