Smithfield – Beulah Johnson “Granny” Parker, age 93, died Tuesday afternoon, February 21, 2017 in Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield. Born July 24, 1923 in Wayne County she was a daughter of the late John Jackson and Gulia Hollowell Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Parker; great granddaughter, Donna Deaver; and all of her brothers and sisters. She attended Hephzibah Baptist Church in Princeton for over 20 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Princeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Surviving are her sons, Fred J. Parker of Dunn, William Howard Parker of Smithfield, and Bernice Lee Parker and wife Billie Jean of Pine Level; daughter, Diane King of Smithfield; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren.
