Billy Ray Price, 88, passed away early Tuesday morning at Wilson Medical Center.
Billy was born in Wilson County on September 20, 1929 to the late Eddie and Smithie Moore Price. Billy served his country in the United States Army. He was employed with Southern Testing now known as Microbac Laboratories for over fifty years.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service, burial will follow in the Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery.
Billy is survived by his wife of fifty three years, Virginia Creech Price; son Bill Price and wife Joy of Lucama; daughter, Beth Price Skinner and husband Keith of Wake Forest; brother, Eddie M. Price and wife Evelyn of Wilson; grandchildren, Mary Sander, William Price, Rebecca Talton, Joshua Price, Hannah Price, Wesley Skinner, and Ashley Skinner; and his great grandchildren, Riley Smith, Sophie Price, Corbin Price, and Jeremiah Sander.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to the Upper Black Creek Church, c/o Sandra Murray, 6608 Blalock Road, Lucama, NC 27851.
