Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Blenda K. Boyette Johnson, age 75, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at First Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks, NC. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church at 1207 US 701, Four Oaks, NC. Rev. Grace Hargis will officiate.
Mrs. Johnson was born on Aug 28, 1946 in Dunn, NC, to the late Viola Byrd Boyette and Claude K. Boyette, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Johnson, brother Claude K. Boyette Jr. and son-in-law Broderick Parrott. Mrs. Johnson retired from Four Oaks Bank and Trust and was a homemaker. In her earlier years she worked at Edwards IGA in Four Oaks. She was a member of First Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks, NC. She loved NC State Basketball.
Surviving include her sons, Chris Johnson and Kenny Johnson, daughter, Kirstin Parrott and special friend, Travis White, granddaughter, Katy Adcock and husband, Chris; grandsons, Chandler Parrott, Tyler Johnson and Jayden White, great-grandsons, Mason Arthur and Harrison Arthur, great-granddaughter, Brodie Kate Arthur, sister-in-law Kay Stewart and husband, Roger; brother-in-law, Eugene Johnson and wife, Linda; brother-in-law, Tony Halvorson and wife, Rita; special family Nancy West, Dr. Shea Puttkammer, Hilda Lawrence, Katie Woodall, Alice Bailey, Will Stanley and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
In this age of technology, Blenda loved the old fashioned way of communicating with cards and letters. Always thinking of others, she was known for her thoughtful notes of encouragement and acts of kindness. Famous for blessing others with her delicious pineapple and chocolate cakes, she loved baking and being able to bring happiness by feeding people! She also loved seeing her friends and family gathered around her kitchen table enjoying good food, conversations and sharing memories.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorials to be made to the First Advent Christian Church (Blenda Johnson Christmas Fund) that will be used for needy families this Christmas season as her greatest joy came from giving to others. PO Box 598, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
