    Angier, NC: Mr. Bobby Homes, age 76, of Wiggins Rd. passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Womack Army Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. Graveside Services will be 11:00AM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield. Officiating will be Revs. Dennis and Jerri Smith.

    Mr. Holmes was born on June 28, 1944 in Johnston County to the late Buster and Carrie Bell Jones Holmes. He retired from Garner LP Gas Company and was a US Army veteran. Mr. Holmes enjoyed singing and playing his guitar at area nursing homes and churches.

    Surviving are his children, Barbara Murphy of Smithfield, Bobby Wayne Holmes and wife, Gloria of Smithfield; grandchildren, Melissa Taylor, Scotty Taylor, Nikki Best, Jonathan Holmes, Elizabeth Holmes; great grandchildren, Kayla Stanley, Steven Stanley, Wyatt Stanley, Majesti Wilder, Trinidee Wilder, Haven Taylor; sisters, Faye Wiggins of Angier, JoAnne Gilmore and husband, Ruben of Selma; brother, Tommy Holmes and wife, Doris of Selma; several nieces and nephews.

    Mr. Holmes will be available for viewing, and you may sign the register book on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 12:00PM–5:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks, NC. The family will not be present during this time.

    Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (Johnston County Unit) 8300 Health Parkway Raleigh, NC 27612.
