Barney “Bobby” Brown Jr., age 79, passed away on June 11, 2020. He resided in Pine Level. He was born a son of the late Barney M. Brown and Ola Mae Overby on March 5, 1941, in Johnston County.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Everette Brown. Bobby was a retired gasoline truck driver and cut grass until his health failed. Bobby truly loved the beach, fishing, the outdoors, The Lord and stopping at the coffee shop and drinking coffee with his friends. Bobby loved his wife and life itself.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 15, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with a burial to follow in Price Cemetery in Pine Level.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Mrs. Faye H. Brown, son Johnny Brown, God-daughter, Andra Jessica Alvison, sister, Dorothy Johnson, and three grandchildren.
