Selma – Bobby Wayne Mitchell, Jr., age 51, died Friday evening, April 21, 2017 in Johnston UNC Healthcare in Smithfield. Born November 3, 1965 in Corbin, KY to Betty Wiggins Mitchell of Selma and the late Bobby Wayne Mitchell, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dwanda Faye Blackman and a brother, Billy james Mitchell.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 in Oakland Heights Cemetery in Smithfield with the Rev. Jim Bolyard officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Surviving in addition to his mother are, his sister-in-law, Beth Mitchell of Pine Level; nephews, J. R. Blackman and Nelson Mitchell and nieces, Lillie Mitchell and Bobbie Jane Holland and husband Kevin all of Pine Level.
