Smithfield—Bobby Wilton Bryant, 79, of Swift Creek Road, died on January 28, 2018. Born in Johnston County on November 4, 1938, he was the son of the late Henry Marvin and Mattie Lee Bryant. Bobby was a local mail carrier, retiring from the Smithfield Post Office after more than 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and could be found fishing, hunting, or gardening as long as he was able.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens.
Surviving are his wife, Angeline Johnson Bryant; son, Steven Bryant of Smithfield; brother, Jerry Wayne Bryant of Newton Grove. Bobby was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry Marvin Bryant, Jr. and Billy Allen Bryant.
The family will receive friends at Underwood Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6PM until 8 PM.
