Bonnie Long Wall

    Bonnie Long Wall, age 72, of Selma passed away on September 27, 2018 following a period of declining health. Born in Johnston County on December 10, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Ruby Gordon Long. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Randy Price. Mrs. Wall retired from the Central Office of the Johnston County Board of Education after a 32 year career as a Dietician. She was a member of the Micro First Baptist Church and the Johnston County School Food Service Association. She loved to cook and fish.
    Funeral services will be held of Monday, October 1, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with Rev. Ken Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow in the John Mincey Brown Cemetery near the home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home just prior to the service from 1-2pm.
    Surviving are her husband, Randy Wall; daughters, DeeDee Reaves and husband Glenn of Kenly, Tammy Summerlin and husband Matt of Goldsboro; grandchildren Ricky Price, Tracy Price, Logan Tharp, Maggie Reaves and Trey Reaves; her closest friend Billie Sue Barbour and her canine companions Bruiser and Lucy.
