Selma – Brenda Carol Haswell, age 70, passed away on February 6, 2021, in her home of Selma. She was born on May 26, 1949, a daughter of the late Andrew Haswell Sr. and Elaine Haswell in Johnston County. Mrs. Brenda attended church locally and she was passionate about her community. She worked for many years caring for the elderly at the local nursing homes. She was a very loving and family-oriented lady who cared for everyone. In addition to caring for others, dancing was one of her favorite activities.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial to follow In Selma Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her brother, Andrew Haswell Jr. (wife Kim) of Fuquay Varina, nephews, Jason Tedder, Jeremy Tedder, nieces, Crystal Yeaman, Joy Jernigan, Julie Shumaker, McKenzi Haswell, and Maison Haswell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her surviving family.
