SMITHFIELD – Brenda Kay Woodard, 75, wife of Marvin Woodard, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Springbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clayton. Born June 1, 1942 in Wilson County, she was a daughter of the late Jasper and Addie Phillips. Brenda had a master’s degree in business and was the co-owner of Vision World Opticians in Smithfield for 36 years.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
Surviving, in addition to her husband are her sons, Greg Woodard and wife Wendy and their children, Dannielle Best, Karlyn Woodard and Kelvin Woodard all of Brogden and Randall Woodard and his wife Mimi and their children, Kayla Woodard, Selina Medal, Arleth Medal and Wesley Woodard all of Greenville and two great grandchildren, Hayden and Elie.
