Angier, NC Mrs. Brenda Johnson Matthews, age, 73, of 2284 Old Buies Creek Road died Tuesday at her residence. Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Greater Light Baptist Church, 1501 N. Raleigh St.(Hwy 55 South), Angier, NC 27501. Officiating will be Rev. James O’Brien.
Mrs. Matthews was born May 20, 1944 in Harnett County to the late Thomas S. and China Hockaday Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katie Beasley. She was a retired CNA and attended Greater Light Baptist Church in Angier.
Surviving include her husband, Ruben Earl Matthews; children, Lisa M. Lee and Rhonda M. Beasley both of Angier; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Roy Johnson of Coats and Ronnie B. Johnson of Garner.
