Benson, NC: Mrs. Brenda Norris Parrish, age 73, of S. Pleasant Coates Road, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Graveside Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 31, 2020 at Johnson Memorial Church Cemetery, Rev. R.B. Parrish will officiate.
Mrs. Parrish was born on February 11, 1947 in Johnston County to the late Everette Dade and Betty Grimes Norris. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin “Jim” Parrish, sisters, Joyce N. Lee and Peggy N. Dillon and a brother, Stacy Norris. Mrs. Parrish was a retired activities director and also a certified nursing assistant. She was a member of Johnson Memorial Church and attended Friendly Chapel Church.
Surviving include her daughter and son-in-law, Betty Gayle and Michael Parker of Benson; grandchildren, Parrish Michael Parker and Emma Dade Parker both of Benson; brother, Danny R. Norris of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Betty L. Norris; many nieces and nephews.
