Carol Gaye Price,76, of Princeton passed away at Wake Medical Center/Raleigh on Monday, December 2, 2019. She was born, May 25, 1943 to the late Earl Stephen Price, Sr. and Helen Johnson Price. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Ray Manly Floors. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
Gaye graduated from Princeton High School and she attended King’s Business College. Gaye was employed by Vine Edwards and Sons, IGA in the Princeton office for several years. She loved and respected the Edwards family, just as she did all of the IGA family. She would often tell us that she never viewed what she did as work because she truly loved what she did so much. We can honestly say that she greeted every day with her beautiful smile. She retired in late 1998 to begin her new career and role as “MeMa” to her first and only grandchild, Allyson.
She is survived by her daughters, Jill Paige Floors and Lisa Blackmon (Randall) all of Princeton; brother, Earl Price, Jr. of Greensboro; granddaughter, Allyson Paige Brown of Dudley and her special canine family, Cristina, Auzura, Gizmo and Kringle.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggest memorials be made to Johnston County Animal Protection League (JCAPL), PO Box 607, Smithfield, NC 27577.
