Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Carolyn Adams Williams, age 72, of 4433 NC 96 South died Friday, March 13, 2020 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 16, 2020 at Coats United Methodist Church in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Cecil. Burial will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery in Coats.
Mrs. Williams was born February 3, 1948 in Johnston County to the late George Cleo and Eva Everette Adams. She was preceded in death by her son, Shannon Dean Johnson; sisters, Edith Moore and Wanda Boyette; brother, Johnny Adams; and brothers-in-law, Sherrill Phipps, Sr., George Massengill, Sr., Carl Williams and Leroy Williams. Mrs. Williams retired from TT Electronics and was a member of Coats United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 25 years, James “Poodle” Williams; children, Anthony Williams and wife, Kim of Coats and Buffy W. Marcum and husband, Brad of Benson; grandchildren, Everette Harrell, Hannah Harrell Williams and husband, Reid, Aiden Marcum, Taylor M. Myers and husband, Reed, Ashley Williams, Ryan Dorman, Kelly Dorman and Austin Williams; sisters, Edna Phipps of Benson, Brenda Adams of Newton Grove and Diane Massengill of Four Oaks; brother, Harold Adams of Benson; special godchildren, Deanna Massengill Lassiter and George Massengill, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Barbara Williams, Wanda Williams, Glenda Norris and husband, Jerry and Ginger Adams; brothers-in-law, Thomas Moore and Roscoe Williams and wife, Jean; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Coats United Methodist Church P.O. Box 388 Coats, NC 27521.
