Carolyn Stallings Capps, age 76, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 in the Smithfield Manor Nursing Home. Born October 15, 1941 in Durham County to the late Sammie Paul and Pauline Strickland Stallings, she was the widow of James Everett Capps, who died July 15, 2001. Carolyn was a longtime member of the Wilson’s Mills Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens.
Surviving are her son, James Gary Capps of Wilson’s Mills; daughter, Linda Darlene Capps Bagley of Selma; sisters, Ann Marie Jordan and husband Bob of Smithfield, Beth Stephenson and husband Lloyd (Steve) of Selma and Linda Pridgen Adams and husband Donald of Clayton; six grandchildren, Chrissy Calhoun, Caroline Capps, Macy Stancil, Alan Capps, Austin Stancil and Grayson Bagley and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral.
