Selma- Catherine Faye Morris Capps, age 68, died Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home. Born November 19, 1949 in Johnston County she was the daughter of the late General Lee and Jeannie Vick Morris. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Marion Morris. Catherine was a member of Selma Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and the Women of the Moose. She was a former member of the Cardinal Country Club until her health declined.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Kenly Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Don Capps; daughters, Tracy Baker and husband Billy of Kenly, and Sheila Capps of Selma; brother, Michael Lee Morris and significant other Sue Pilkington of Kenly; sister-in-law, Carolyn Morris of Kenly; and grandchildren, Jordan Capps, Jenna Baker, Logan Capps, and Caroline Baker.
