Coats, NC: Mrs. Cellie Hall Horton, age 89, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Johnston UNC Health in Smithfield. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, December 2, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Betts. Burial will follow in Red Hill Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Coats.
Mrs. Horton was born on February 5,1930 in Johnston County to the late Harvey C. and Hannah Malatha Lee Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Earl Horton; daughter, Patricia Ann Horton; son, Jimmie Earl Horton, Jr; daughters-in-law, Pamela Faye Honeycutt Horton and Shelia Ann Horton; granddaughter, Chasity Faye Horton Wells; and brothers, Coy Hall, Lloyd Hall and Roy Harvey Hall. Mrs. Horton was a retired CNA in the healthcare industry.
Surviving include her sons, Larry Earl Horton and wife, Janet and Cecil Terry Horton all of Texas and Jimmie Carol Horton of Smithfield; daughter, Celia Ann H. Pollard and husband, James of Benson; grandchildren, Chris Horton, James Earl Pollard, Travis Carroll Pollard, Stephen Horton and Joseph Horton; geat-grandchildren, Tyler Wells, Ryan Wells, Christian Pollard, Jacob Pollard, Gavyn Pollard, Brittany Evans, Haleigh Pollard, Layla Pollard and Morgan Hudak; great-great grandchildren, Carolynn Evans and Calvin Evans; sisters, Pearl Tart of Angier, Alice Tyndall of Georgia, Marie Beasley of Oak Island and Margaret Norris of Georgia; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Celia Ann and James Pollard, 1080 Aquilla Road, Benson, NC.
