Charles Brantley Bridgers

Kenly- Charles Brantley Bridgers, 71, passed away peacefully in the care of his family at home Monday morning.
Charles was born March 11, 1946 in Johnston County to the late Marion Brantley and Hazel Renfrow Bridgers. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Charles was a retired truck driver for Food Lion and enjoyed his time out on the road meeting new friends along the way. He attended Tee’s Chapel Church in Brogden.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bridgers Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Jeanette Peedin Bridgers; son, Brantley Scott Bridgers and wife Leigh of Wilson; daughter Dawn Crocker and husband Ken of Smithfield; and grandchildren, Brantley Bridgers, Andrew Bridgers, Logan Woodruff, Michael Bridgers, Blaine Crocker, and Shelby Crocker.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Tim Bridgers and sister Mary Jo Ostrander; and his first wife Mittie Little Bridgers.
