Smithfield, NC: Mr. Charles Landis Norris, age 82, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Smithfield Advent Christian Church in Smithfield, NC. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield. Pastor Sylvia Rackley will officiate.
Mr. Norris was born on June 29, 1938 in Johnston County to the late Seth Andrew and Mary Bertie Honeycutt Norris. He was preceded in death by several brothers. Mr. Norris retired from Flow Serve and was a member of Smithfield Advent Christian Church in Smithfield.
Surviving include his wife of 57 years, Joyce Starling Norris; children, Kenneth Scott Norris, Chris Norris and wife, Liz, and Jeremy Seth Norris; grandchildren, Charles Justin Norris, Ashleigh Marie Norris, Brittany Marie Norris and Joshua Andrew Norris; great-grandchildren, Noah Luke Creech, Caroline Marie Henry and Charlotte Loving Norris; brother, Robert Norris; many nieces and nephews.
