Charles Lindy Pierce, age 79, died Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born June 11, 1942 in Durham County he was a son of the late Charlie Auby and Annie Oliver Pierce. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Pierce, Mildred McClenny, Edith Winn, Janie Meirer and Melvin Pierce.
Charles attended Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was an avid Carolina basketball and Atlanta Braves baseball fan. He enjoyed fishing and watching westerns. Charles was a collector of Coca Cola memorabilia, classic cars, coins and pocket knives.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tee’s Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service at the funeral home.
Surviving are his wife Estelle Corbett Pierce; daughters, Darlene Pierce Baker and husband Greg of Pine Level and Dana Pierce Summerlin and husband Billy of Rosewood; brothers, Leland Pierce and wife Janet and Elton Pierce and wife Doris, all of Pine Level; and grandchildren, Kayla Baker Boykin and husband Tyler of Pine Level, Austin Casey of Pine Level, Olivia Summerlin of Rosewood, and Heather Summerlin of Youngsville.
