Cheryl Lynn Corbett Peedin of The Villages, Florida passed to eternity on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Gainesville, FL. She is survived by her husband, Danny G. Peedin and Spice, their cockatiel; her mother, Frances Rackley Corbett of Grifton, NC; four siblings: Joanna Corbett of Middleburg, FL; Brad Corbett (and wife, Rita) of Bolivia, NC; Sam Corbett (and wife, Roxanne) of Grifton, NC; Myrtle Corbett Schreffler (and husband, Andy) of Gainesville, FL; eleven living nieces and nephews; and twenty-nine great-nieces and nephews and other descendants of the Corbett and Rackley families.
Born November 27, 1945 in Wilmington, N. C., Lynn graduated from Fremont High School in Fremont, NC and Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA. She used her bookkeeping and accounting skills at NC State University, at Fairwinds Credit Union, Orlando, FL and at Faith Assembly of God, also in Orlando Florida. She loved gardening, reading, craft making, cooking and walking. She was gifted with memory of every family member’s birthday and anniversary and honored each one every year!! Preserving her memory in photograph was extremely difficult as Lynn was a very private person, but her laughter and gift of humor will be forever etched in our memories.
Arrangements for burial are by Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC. On Saturday, December 9, 2017, Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. and a brief service at 11:00 a.m. followed by Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, Smithfield, NC.
