Christopher J. Lindquist

    KINSTON – Christopher J Lindquist (Chris), 57, died on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at UNC Lenoir Health Center. He was born May 13, 1964, in Jamestown, NY. He was the son of the late Gary and Lydia Lindquist of Stem, NC. 

    Chris graduated from Cassadaga Valley High School, Class of 1982. Following graduation, he worked on his family farm and was a city bus driver. He married his ex-wife, Kay Boyd of Smithfield, and moved family to NC to pursue a career as a distance truck driver. Chris later graduated Campbell University Class of 2004 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. Chris later married Leonila Valenzuela Lindquist of Kinston. Chris was very involved in his children’s sports and helped coach several teams. 

    Christopher is predeceased by his parents. Surviving in addition to his wife, Leonila, are his sons, Joseph (Nancy) Lindquist of Raleigh, NC, John (Sarah) Lindquist of Zebulon, NC and Joshua (Hannah) Lindquist of Princeton, NC, his daughters, Christine Lindquist of Kinston, NC and Cassandra Lindquist of Raleigh, NC. Also surviving, his brothers Barry Lindquist of Sinclairville NY, Kenneth Lindquist of Stem, NC and Doug Lindquist of Waynesboro, PA, grandchildren, Joseph “JJ” Fajardo, Aiden Lindquist, and Tyson Lindquist, and several nieces and nephews. 

    A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, December 4th at 5:00pm at Selma Tabernacle Church of God, 100 S. Sharpe St, Selma, NC.
