Benson, NC: Mrs. Clara Cobb Barbour, age 98, of Aquilla Road passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 and went home to celebrate Jesus’ birthday with him. Graveside Services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Coats. Rev. Jason Hammersley will officiate.
Mrs. Barbour was born December 18, 1922 in Johnston County to the late Willis and Esther Adams Cobb. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Barbour; her son, Faison Lee Barbour, a brother, Algie Cobb, and a sister, Lila Adams. Mrs. Barbour was a retired seamstress, a long time member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, a beloved individual that touched everyone’s life she encountered.
Surviving include her sons, J.B. Barbour, Jr. and wife, Celia of Benson, Jimmy Barbour and wife, Donna of Benson; daughter, Judy B. Stephenson and husband, Jeffery of Angier; sister, Ruth Upchurch of Coats; grandchildren, Christy Barbour, Ryan Barbour and wife, Angie, Tracy Stephenson and wife, Allison, Brandon Lee Stephenson, Blake Barbour and wife, Holly, Dusty Barbour and wife, Ashley, Amy Barbour Clayton; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Barbour will be available for you to view and sign the register book from 12:00PM-5:00PM Friday, January 1, 2021 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. The family will not be present during this time.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are required for all services.
