Coats: NC: Mrs. Clara Creech Wood, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her residence. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held 3:00PM-Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Harnett Devotional Gardens, Dunn, NC. Rev. Randy Beasley will officiate.
Mrs. Wood was born on July 21, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Raymond and Lois Dupree Creech. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Jefferson Wood, sister, Rebecca Cobb and brothers, Donald Creech and Billy Creech. Mrs. Wood retired from Nu-Home Builders in Dunn and was a homemaker. She was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Coats, NC.
Surviving include her sons, Keith Wood of Dunn and Michael Wood of Coats; grandchildren, Kristen Wood, Brandon Wood, Brooks Wood and Joseph Wood; five great-grandchildren, Ava, Ezra, Andrew, Scarlett and Amelia; sister, Margaret King of Coats; many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wood will be available for viewing and you may sign the register book from 1:00PM-5:00PM, Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC. The family will not be present during this time.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
