Clara Lee Johnson Hansley, age 82, of Smithfield, passed away on January 18, 2018 at Duke Regional Hospital. Born in Johnston County on September 30, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Wright Handy and Lola Johnson Johnson. Her husband was the late Jacob Hansley.
Surviving are her son, Jacob Hugh Hansley of Smithfield; daughters Sherry Stocks and Cynthia Massengill, both of Smithfield; brothers Larry Johnson of Benson and Rev. Tony Johnson of Danville, VA; sister Lulong Miller of Smitfield; and grandchildren Jennifer Massengill-Scarborough and Garrett Massengill.
The family will receive friends Monday at 11AM in the fellowship hall of First Christian Church in Smithfield. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens.
