Daniel Lee Watkins, 72, of Selma, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Core Family Care surrounded by family. Daniel was born in Gaston County on August 17, 1949 to the late Windsor Theodore Watkins and Mary Ethel Wilson Watkins.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann Jones Watkins; son, Kevin Neil Watkins of Selma; daughter, Melissa Anne Watkins and fiancé Christopher White of Wilson; grandchildren, Lillie Mae Watkins, Calvin Lee Watkins, Henry Neil Watkins, Adalynn Paige White; sister, Sue Watkins-Harris of Garner, and several other family and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel with Reverend Mark Edwards officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations in Princeton. Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, August 27, 2021 at Wheeler – Watkins Cemetery located at 224 Bizzell Grove Church Road in Selma.
