Princeton – David Henderson Thomas, age 91, passed away on Sunday October 10, 2021 at Smithfield Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Silver Point, TN on September 13, 1930 to the late Henderson and Eura Carr Thomas. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by wife, Mildred Thomas; daughter, Donna Edwards; brothers, Norman and Arnold Thomas; sisters, Minnie Medley and Frances Hickey.
A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday October 14, 2021 at 1 PM. Burial will follow the service in Knollwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Mr. Thomas is survived by sons, David Thomas Jr., and wife Mary of Sanford, Darryl Thomas of Gardner, IL, Dale Thomas and wife Lorrie of Timberlake; daughter, Irma Bode and husband Dave of Youngsville; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
Mr. Thomas was a Korean War Veteran as well as a member of Oak Forest Church of Christ in Goldsboro. He was very involved with activities of the church and knew the Bible well. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and farming.
