Mrs. Debra Elizabeth Barbour Byrd, age 67, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Graveside Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Hills of The Neuse Memory Gardens, Smithfield, NC. Dr. Billy Cashwell will officiate.
Mrs. Byrd was born on September 27, 1953 in Johnston County to the late Roosevelt and Dorothy Christine Smith Barbour. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Byrd and a daughter, Angela Barefoot. Mrs. Byrd retired from textiles, was a homemaker and was loved by her family.
Surviving include her children, Kimberly Young and husband, Steven, Michelle Beasley, Robbie Byrd and wife, Kimberly, Doug Byrd and wife, Melissa and Brandy Spearman and husband, Chris; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim, Barbour, Mike Barbour, Joe Barbour and Ben Barbour; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM-Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC, the family will not be present during this time. At other times the family is receiving friends at the home of Kimberly Young, 3033 Woods Crossroads Road, Benson, NC 27504.
