Dennis Dale Ham, age 69, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Born in Wilson County on June 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Dale Walter and Hazel Moore Ham.
Dennis worked for Schneider Electric (Square D) for over 30 years. Dennis was actively involved with his daughter and son’s active lifestyles. He served as a coach and mentor to many young kids. He was an avid dog lover and enjoyed spending time with Max, Tanner and Oz. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Whitley Ham.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Jenny Henderson Ham; daughter, Shannon Bass and her husband Brent of Kenly; son, Dale Ham and his wife Ragan of Smithfield; step-sons, Jason Parker and his wife Lindsey of Clayton; Nick Parker and his wife Jessica of Clayton; and Jon Parker; and eight grandchildren, Bryce Bass, Abby Bass, Kayla Ham, Leah Ham, Liam Parker, Jase Parker, Ayden Parker and Annica Parker.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 25, at 2:00 pm in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield with Rev. Joe Hester officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on the Parrish Funeral Home Facebook page.
