DUNN, NC: Mr. Devon Ray Johnson, age 80, of 1700 Fairground Road died Friday at his residence. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be the Rev. Bennie Grimes. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery, Benson.
Mr. Johnson was born March 18, 1937 in Harnett County to the late Walter T. and Esther Norris Johnson. Mr. Johnson was also preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Ray Johnson; sisters, Claydean Foy, Peggy Penny Bradshaw; and a brother, Gene Johnson. He was a retired foreman with Sparrow Construction Company.
Surviving are wife of 30 years, Linda Sue Jones Johnson; daughters & sons-in-law, Sharon & Donald Altman and Charlotte Gregory (Pittman) & Tony Pittman, all of Dunn; son, Gregory Earl Johnson of Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren, Dexter Pittman, Zachary Pittman, Candace A. Johnson, and Seth Altman; and great grandchildren, Rilan Lane Matthews, Kenzie Faye Pittman, and Leighanna Ray Pittman.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 9:30AM to 10:30AM Tuesday prior to the service.
