Dianne Jones Mitchell, age 63, of Selma passed away on July 31, 2017 at Springbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Clayton. Born in Johnston County on August 17, 1953, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Langdon Jones.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with Rev. Roger Banks officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM, just prior to the service. Burial will be private.
Surviving are her husband, Elwood Mitchell, Sr.; her son, Elwood Mitchell, Jr. and wife Laura of Whittier; her daughter Tara Hales and husband Richard of Princeton; grandchildren, Summer Sullivan, Jonathan Mitchell, Katrin Hales and Shawn Hales; and great grandchildren Kimora and Ky Jackson.
